THE HEART OF A WATER UTILITY
NOT JUST FOR A WATER UTILITY – BY A WATER UTILITY
During the formative development of the FATHOM Utility-to-Utility (U2UTM) Solutions within Global Water Resources, Inc. (“GWRI”) – a leading water resource management company that owns and operates water, wastewater and recycled water utilities – we quickly realized the only way to assure revenue and exceed our budget expectations while addressing water scarcity and the changing needs of our customers was to invest in better data so we could have better information.
What we needed was a single view of our meter‐to‐customer processes: a means of integrating the various disparate software, databases, business practices, and equipment used in a utility today. What we found was that the existing community of vendors, manufacturers, distributors and service providers each provided only part of the solution we needed – so we built it ourselves. We built FATHOM.
FATHOM products are guaranteed to work, rapidly deployable, and available with little or no up-front capital.
After years of investment in people, processes and technology, FATHOM is now a proven integrated suite of advanced technology products developed by a utility for utilities to bring heightened efficiencies to operations. In addition, FATHOM U2U deployment methodology decreases traditional implementation timelines and costs while providing a low barrier-to-entry means for utilities to access sophisticated software applications for their operations. FATHOM brings the power of data to all utilities.
THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS
OUR MISSION: BRING ECONOMIES OF SCALE TO UNITE OUR INDUSTRY
By bringing standardization and scale to our fragmented market, utilities of all sizes are able to take advantage of the opportunities that pristine data provides—collectively becoming more efficient and sustainable. We also are able to realize a new water utility paradigm where water utilities have new pathways to access and adopt the technologies they need.
Together we can overcome our challenges, create sustainable utilities, and protect our most valuable resource. There is strength in numbers.
