PHOENIX – June 9, 2014 – Global Water Management, LLC (“FATHOM”) announced today a contract executed with the City of Exeter, California (“City”) to provide the cloud‐based FATHOM Meter Data Management (“FATHOM MDM”) software to the City. In addition to the FATHOM MDM software, FATHOM will perform a detailed Revenue Assurance Audit as well as procure and install an advanced metering infrastructure (“AMI”) system and water meter exchange project for the entire City. With FATHOM, the City will gain the ability to harness the power of data by combining geospatial information, upgraded infrastructure, and real‐time data.
Randy Groom, City Administrator for the City of Exeter stated, “With the power of FATHOM and its advanced analytics, we will be able to not only preserve and protect the value of our investment in infrastructure, but leverage the technology to provide better service. The new equipment will provide more accurate and reliable meter reads for the customers, and allow us to devote more of our maintenance crews’ time to other work. Water has always been one of our most precious resources and the ongoing drought conditions make it critical for all of us to conserve and make the most of what we have.”
Mr. Trevor Hill, Chief Executive Officer of FATHOM stated, “From our water utility heritage, we understand firsthand the issues that utilities face today. We believe that only through combining our resources and adopting standardization across the industry can we as water utilities achieve the ultimate goal of providing our customers better service all while managing costs and resources. With this partnership, we are continuing down the path of achieving this vision to allow utilities of all sizes to benefit from the power of technology and data with increased efficiencies, decreased costs and increased revenues.”
Mr. Hill continued, “We are excited about the partnership with Exeter. With FATHOM MDM, the City will be able to turn the immense data generated by an advanced AMI system into actionable information through our cutting‐edge analytics on the combination of multiple data sets, including consumption data, customer data and location data. This information, presented to the utility in user‐friendly dashboards, maps and tabular and graphical reports, will also be available to City staff in the field to further improve efficiencies and customer satisfaction.”
